Guest Session on Ayurvedic Clinical Trials Held at DoCJ

Pune: The Department of Communication and Journalism, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) organized a guest session on ‘Ayurvedic Clinical Trials’ by Dr. Sumit Salunke and his team on Monday. The session provided insights into the importance of clinical trials in Ayurveda and their role in modern healthcare research.   During the session, Dr. Sumit elaborated on the scientific validation of Ayurvedic medicines, highlighting ongoing research efforts to assess their efficacy. Pune:  Department of Communication and Journalism  of Savitribai Phule Pune University conducted a session on ‘Importance of Election Commission in Democracy’ by Vishwanath Garud and ‘Delhi Election Result & National Politics’ by Mahesh Sane on Saturday.  The session was conducted for students from Masters and Diploma Course of the Department. If you seek peace in life, much of it depends on your neighbors. Unfortunately, India has not been so lucky in this regard. Given the geopolitical realities, it becomes even more crucial to study and understand our neighboring countries, especially Pakistan, which was partitioned from India in 1947 and has since remained a persistent challenge. Over the decades, India has employed various strategies to address these issues, but beyond external efforts, a deeper understanding of Pakistan’s internal dynamics is essential.   In an effort to explore this subject, a discussion on the book ' Pakistan ka Matlab kya? But for India no doubt it is a 'Black Day'. 14th February 2019, a terror attack was carried out in Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir by a suicide bomber resulting in the death of 40 CRPF personnel. 40, isn't a small digit. India lost its 40 gems that day. The day when the brutal Pulwama Terror Attack happened. It was undoubtedly a black day for all the Indians. But guess what? Today, we all are busy celebrating this Valentine's Day. Have we ever recalled those 40 gems? What are we doing? Celebrating a tradition that is not even ours? As a part of our curriculum under the subject 'Cultural Journalism', a study visit was organised by Prof. Ajay Joshi for all the MAJMC 1st year students at Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute on Thursday. Chapter 1: State of the Economy. Growth & Global Trends:   India's GDP & GVA to grow 6.4% in FY25 and 6.3-6.8% in FY26, while global growth stood at 3.3% in 2023, with the IMF projecting 3.2% ahead.
